BMW has recalled 196,355 vehicles for a short circuit in the starters that could lead to fire, reports CBS.

Included in the recall are the 2019 to 2021 BMW 330i; 2019 to 2022 BMW Z4; 2020 to 2022 BMW 530i, X3, X4; 2021 to 2022 BMW 430i, 430i Convertible; 2022 BMW 230i vehicles; and 2020 to 2022 Toyota Supra.

NHTSA has shared that the engine starter is prone to corrosion, leading to the relay overheating and short circuiting.
