KYB Announces New Canadian Senior Business Development Manager
KYB announced the departure of Ray Proulx, its senior business development manager of Canada, as well as his successor, in a recent press release.
Proulx first joined the company 21 years ago, after several years of working in sales and marketing, when KYB first entered the Canadian market.
“I had never heard of the company before,” Proulx said. “But I knew it would be an exciting challenge, and more importantly, a chance to get back into an industry I’m passionate about.”
Taking his role as KYB’s new Canadian senior business development manager will be Shaun Kelso. With 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, Kelso brings a background in business development, account leadership, and customer-focused growth. He’s previously held senior sales leadership roles at Goodyear Canada, MOPAR, Magneti Marelli, and Dealer Tire.
Kelso emphasized that as consumers keep their cars longer, he believes there is opportunity to demonstrate the value of KYB’s parts over lower-quality components that are at a cheaper price point.
“In the long run, a quality part is an investment that will offer an ROI when either changing the car or the long-term impact on maintenance if they keep the car for years to come,” said Kelso.
