The recipient will receive a $2,500 scholarship, a check for $500 and roundtrip airfare, and accommodations for the winner and a guest to attend the North American Council of Automotive Teachers conference held June 15-18 in Sacramento, California.
To be considered for the Mitchell 1 scholarship, applicants must be a current student majoring in automotive technology / auto shop repair course work, obtain a nomination from their NACAT instructor, have a minimum overall 3.0 grade point average, have plans to attend an accredited college or university or already enrolled in an accredited college or university, and must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen.
By completing a single application online, students will also be considered for multiple scholarships for which they are eligible.
“We’re proud to continue our sponsorship of the Mitchell 1 Automotive Technology Scholarship as it helps students build the technical knowledge and real-world skills they need to pursue rewarding careers in vehicle maintenance and repair,” said Cami Hermann, director of marketing at Mitchell 1.
