Al Wheeler Appointed President of Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association
The Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association announced the appointment of Al Wheeler as president and chief operating officer in a recent press release.
In his new role, Wheeler will provide strategic and operational leadership for AMRA, working with the Board of Directors, association members, industry partners, and other stakeholders to advance the organization's mission and strengthen its role within the automotive maintenance and repair industry.
Wheeler has 40 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket, including senior leadership roles at CARQUEST and Advance Auto Parts. He has also served as CEO of ShopPros and AccelPoint, LLC – automotive training and performance improvement companies. He was most recently Executive Vice President of FastLap, LLC – a consolidator of independent tire and automotive shops.
