Jan. 16, 2015—NASTF recently announced that it has filled five openings on its 2015 leadership team.
Five of the 15 three-year board of director terms were recently up for election, and three current volunteers were re-elected and two new members were elected, according to a release.
John Cabaniss, representing the OEM trade association Global Automakers, was one of the three re-elected, but his resignation from the board on Jan. 3 set up the need for the NASTF board to appoint a replacement to serve his new three-year term.
Julia Rege, director of environment and energy for the Association of Global Automakers, was appointed to replace Cabaniss in the open seat for the OEM category.
Greg Potter, newly hired executive manager of the Equipment & Tool Institute (ETI) was elected to fill the vacancy in the equipment/tool category and Jim Von Ehr, manager of technical information and serviceability for Nissan was elected to the vacant at-large seat.
Re-elected to new three-year terms were Allen Pennebaker, owner of Orinda Motors, and John Lypen, director of industry relations for Motor Information Systems. Pennebaker represents the Automotive Service Councils of California in the NASTF category for an independent service provider. Lypen holds the board seat for the information service provider.
