July 23, 2019—91,319 2017-2019 Nissan Titan models are being recalled, as the alternator harness may have been damaged during the engine installation process, possibly resulting in an electrical short, reports CBS KIMA.
The electrical short could cause the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash or vehicle fire.
Nissan is notifying owners and dealers will inspect the alternator harness for proper routing. The harness will then be put into the correct position or be replaced as necessary.
The recall is set to begin later this month.
