New Jersey may see a pop up of Tesla stores in the near future—resulting in more Tesla-drivers on the road.

Feb. 18, 2019—New Jersey may see a pop up of Tesla stores in the near future. According to a report by ROI-NJ, a new bill could eliminate restrictions for auto dealers regarding the number of direct-to-consumer retail locations in the state.

Tesla today is limited to four locations as it's not franchised, ROI-NJ reports, however, if the bill is phased in by 2024, Tesla could potentially open up two more locations in 2019. The bill is Gov. Phil Murphy's effort to create a greener economy, ROI-NJ reports.

In addition, the bill give Tesla the opportunity to close in on the company's goals, ROI-NJ reports, creating more Tesla-drivers on the road and hitting profits for each quarter.

According to ROI-NJ, the bill has not been introduced into the Legislature yet.
