Dec. 18, 2018—Junior & True Automotive in Long Beach, Calif., is being sued following the death of an 85-year-old who slipped and fell at the auto repair business, My News LA reports. Willie Thompson's children, Novell, Maxine, Reggie and Sylvia filed the lawsuit as the business' employees allegedly never called 911 and allowed him to fall an additional time.

Thompson's fall took place Dec. 17, 2016, where he slipped on a slippery substance, My New LA reports. After falling, employees allegedly drove Thompson home where he fell a second time.

Four children of an 85-year-old man who died from his injuries three days after slipping and falling at a Long Beach auto repair business in 2016 are suing the entity, alleging the employees never called 911 and allowed him to fall a second time.

According to My News LA, the lawsuit states that Thompson suffered a right hip fracture that caused a hemorrhage and shock. Thompson went into "respiratory distress" at the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, the suit states, and never recovered from his injuries; he later died on Dec. 20, 2016, My News LA reports.

Thompson was in good health prior to the falls, the suit states, and the children have been deprived of his "love, affection, and companionship," My LA News reports.
