An auto repair shop has teamed up with local restaurants to provide 100 meals per day for 30 days to healthcare workers and first responders.
April 3, 2020—An auto repair shop in the Washington, D.C., area has teamed up with five different restaurants in the area to help feed 100 meals per day for 30 days to healthcare workers and first responders during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a press release.
Craftsman Auto Care owners Matt and Judy Curry have spearheaded the project. According to the report, the campaign, “Feed a Hero” has allowed the delivery of over 900 meals in 9 days. The shop's goal is to raise $50,000 to provide the 100 meals over the next 30 days.
The shop is raising funds through a GoFundMe page and a Facebook campaign to pay for the meals, which are about $15 each. So far, the shop has raised nearly $12,000.
