April 17, 2013—Federal-Mogul’s Powertrain segment received two 2013 Automotive News PACE Awards at a black-tie ceremony held April 15 in Detroit.
The company’s IROX engine bearings received an award in the product category, which recognizes innovations in new products, components or systems that have a significant market impact in the automotive industry.
Federal-Mogul’s injection molding process for high modulus bonded pistons was a winner in the manufacturing process category, which honors manufacturing or business processes that support the automotive supply chain.
"The PACE process is an invaluable way to showcase the capabilities of our world-class powertrain technologies and teams," Gian Maria Olivetti, vice president of technology and innovation at Federal-Mogul Powertrain, said in a statement. "We're extremely honored to receive these prestigious awards, which underscores our commitment to providing customers with innovative, world-class products and technologies."
