ASE Announces A-Series Certification Extension Option

Automotive service professionals can download the ASE renewal app to get a one-year extension on certain certifications that expire on Dec. 31, 2022. 

Nov. 29, 2022—Automotive service professionals with ASE certifications that expire on Dec. 31, 2022, can get a a one-year extension by signing up for the ASE renewal app. 

According to a press release, this extension opportunity applies to A1-A9 certifications. The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence renewal app can be used via the web app on a PC or a mobile app on a cell phone or tablet. This app is not a replacement for traditional service testing. 

Using the ASE renewal app allows service professionals "to renew ASE automotive certifications without having to take time off or going to a secure test center for testing," according to the press release.
