Shop Fundraises Breast Cancer Research with Free Brake Pads

ProAutomotive Services in Wood River, Illinois, is participating in Brakes for Breasts fundraising in October.  

Sept. 28, 2022—ProAutomotive Services in Wood River, Illinois, is joining in on breast cancer vaccine fundraiser efforts. 

According to Advantage News, the Brakes for Breasts organization works with participating automotive repair shops across the United States and Canada. The goal is to raise funds for breast cancer vaccine research during the month of October. 

Pro Automotive Services Wood River will join hundreds of other independent repair shops in offering free brake pads or brake shoes. Shop owner Jennifer Baggett told Advantage News that 10% of the total brake sales will be donated to the Cleveland Health Center, where Dr. Vincent Tuohy is spearheading research for the breast cancer vaccine efforts.
