March 25, 2022

As ASE marks 50 years, the organization is planning for testing around the latest technologies like EVs and ADAS.

March 25, 2022—In a special message, ASE Chairman Brad Pellman talked about the 50th anniversary of the organization and the vision for the future.

Pellman, who runs an automotive repair shop in Colorado, says that evolving technology is driving the evolution of the organization's training initiatives. That includes safety tests for hybrid and EV powertrains, as well as ADAS testing. ASE is also planning a summit related to those technologies.

"ASE has planned an upcoming electric vehicle safety summit and will be conducting workshops with industry experts that focus on the creation of guidelines and assessment criteria for service technicians and shop personnel who work on electric and electric/hybrid vehicles," Pellman said in his statement.
