March 16, 2020—Ratchet+Wrench is excited to announce a brand new track to the 2020 Ratchet+Wrench Management Conference, the Future Leaders Program.
The Future Leaders Program is a track exclusively for managers and up-and-comers (someone who has owned a shop three years or less in the industry). The track will take up the entire second day of the conference.
The track will be led by some of the best “up-and-comers” in the industry. Phil Christensen, Phil Carpenter and David Askwith.
Phil Christensen, president at BG Automotive in Colorado
Christensen’s team recently received the award for Best Workplace from Ratchet+Wrench. He was also profiled for his leadership style earlier this year. Christensen joined BG in 2012 and has helped it grow to 3 locations.
Phil Carpenter, director of operations at Urban Auto Care and Avalon Motorsport in Colorado
Carpenter has been in the industry since 2002. Carpenter has an ASE Master Certification and is also the president of the mechanical division for ASA Colorado.
David Askwith, director of operations, Autostream Car Care in Maryland
Askwish started his career at AutoStream Car Care in 2007. Prior to that, he served in the Marine Corps and also worked for ExxonMobil. AutoStream has six locations and does over $7 million dollars.
“We’re excited for the Future Leaders Program and to have such great people hosting it,” Bryce Evans, VP of content and events, Ratchet+Wrench, says. “Both the Phils and David know what it means to step into a leadership role and be effective in that position. We’re excited to see a whole new generation of the industry at this year’s conference.”
