Sept. 20, 2017—Redline Detection has announced that they will sponsor the the 13th annual Technology & Maintenance Council’s National Technician Skills Competition, the TMC SuperTech Challenge. 130 of the best heavy duty technicians in the country are competing at 36 stations to crown the Grand Champion of the National Technician Skills Competition.

TMC SuperTech is North America’s premier skills competition for professional commercial vehicle technicians. SuperTech competitors come from the nation’s largest fleets including FedEx Freight, Walmart Transportation, UPS, Pepsi Co, and others . Redline Detection’s Air Brake NanoLeak Finder™ is being used to test competitors’ skills at the trailer brake testing station. NanoLeak Finder™ is revolutionizing brake leak testing by indicating if there is a leak in under one minute, then pinpointing the leak in under ten minutes.

“We appreciate all of the companies and individuals that support the PTDC Friend of the Technician program and the National Technician Skills Competition — TMC SuperTech; this year we add Redline Detection as a Friend of the Technician sponsor and skills station supporter,” said George Arrants, Chairman. “Their equipment will allow technicians to see and find air leaks on aftertreatment and air brakes like never before. We welcome them to the TMC SuperTech team.”

The NanoLeak technology produces a signature air to definitively locate even minute leaks in compressed air systems. For both tractors and trailers, simply connect to a compressed air system, introduce the signature air into the system, and use the NanoLeak Locator to pinpoint the exact location of leaks. Dramatically saving technician time, technicians can set up a one button test procedure; the machine pressurizes and performs a DOT leak down test, eliminating human error and freeing up technicians to walk away while the machine performs the test. There is no warm up time, a very simple hookup, and the lightweight machine eliminates messy, imprecise soap and water, saving hours, guaranteeing fast, 100% accurate brake testing and diagnostics.

“NanoLeak is going to change the way fleets do brake testing and maintenance. This machine runs a foolproof automated brake leak test that gives a green/red, pass/fail, immediately indicating whether a trailer or tractor meets DOT standards or risks being red-tagged. Then it precisely pinpoints the leak, all in under ten minutes,” said Alex Parker Redline executive vice president.
