A high school in Minnesota is breaking ground on a new building for industrial technology courses.
Nov.5, 2019—Foley High School in Foley, Minn., has broken ground last month on a 4,000 square-foot building for industrial technology courses, reported WJON.
The high school has three full-time industrial technology teachers. The new building will have a car hoist so kids can perform oil changes and other maintenance tasks, as well as tools to perform brake jobs, body work, safety inspections, welding and cutting.
Foley High School teacher Brian Kemmy told WJON that the school has a lot of students going into diesel and auto body work and going to technical trade schools.
In recent years, Kemmy says they’ve added a CNC plasma cutter and developed more computerized classes.
