A fire at Meridian Magnesium parts plant in Michigan disrupted the North American auto industry by creating a parts shortage for Ford, General Motors, Fiat Chrysler and Mercedes.
Ford F-150 production resumed in Dearborn, Mich., and on Monday in Kansas City after a fire had previously disrupted production. The Super Duty truck line starts Monday in Kentucky.
The restart comes after a two-week disruption, according to the report. Ford brought a team together that arrived within hours of the May 2 fire and later secured the services of the world's largest cargo plane.
