NHTSA Joins NTSB in Tesla Investigation

A Tesla Model S crashed and caught fire in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., killing two teenage males and sending a third to the hospital. Now, both two national boards are investigating the accident.

May 11, 2018—The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is the second federal agency to begin looking into the fatal Tesla Model S crash in Fla., reported CNBC.

NHTSA follows the National Transportation Safety Board which is sending a team to investigate the crash, according to the report.

All three occupants in the vehicle involved in the crash were 18-year-old males.
