SMP’s Larry Sills Inducted into Federated Auto Parts Vendor Hall of Fame

June 14, 2016—Federated Auto Parts announced Monday that Larry Sills, Standard Motor Products (SMP) executive chairman, has been inducted into the Federated Auto Parts Vendor Hall of Fame.

The Federated Vendor Hall of Fame recognizes one individual each year to demonstrates dedication to excellence and making a difference for Federated and its members. 

“A number of words come to mind when I think of Larry Sills: ethical, trustworthy, friendly, highly intelligent and well-rounded,” said Bo Fisher, chairman of Federated Auto Parts. “Federated is very proud to be associated with Larry. He makes everyone feel special and he ‘walks the walk’ by treating people fairly. SMP has been a valued supplier over the years and Larry has been a strong supporter of the Federated membership. It is with great pleasure that we induct him into the Federated Vendor Hall of Fame.”

Prior to his current role, Sills was chairman and CEO of SMP from 2000-2016 and president and COO from 1986-2000. He has received several awards throughout his career and currently serves on the University of the Aftermarket Foundation board of trustees.
