June 14, 2016

June 14, 2016—Brake Parts Inc. (BPI) announced Monday that it was recently recognized by the United Way of Greater McHenry County with the Landmark Award for its 2015 donation of more than $176,000.

The award recognizes companies that reach an outstanding level of success by raising $100,000 or more during their annual United Way campaign.

“I am extremely proud to say this is the sixth time that Brake Parts Inc has received the Landmark Award for its generous donation to the local United Way chapter,” said David Overbeeke, president and CEO of Brake Parts Inc. “This award really goes to all of the BPI employees who go above and beyond to give to this organization that funds health and human service agencies right in our area. Donating to the United Way is our way to give back to help better the lives of people in the community that need assistance.”

The donation represented a 17 percent increase over the previous year’s donation. BPI matched money raised by employees during the 2016 campaign through special fundraising projects.
