Dec. 3, 2013—Hankook Tire has been named the “2013 Outstanding Supplier Award” in the polymer tire category by the Blue Bird Corporation. In a company release on Tuesday, Hankook said the award highlights its efforts as an original equipment (OE) tire supplier for Blue Bird's line of school buses.
Hankook has provided its AH12 steer position and Z35A drive position bus tires as OE fitments for the company’s school buses since 2012.
Hankook Tire has been steadily expanding its portfolio of OE tire supply to premium automakers, light truck manufacturers, and commercial truck manufacturers. The tire company offers 19 truck tire models at more than 900 commercial tire locations in the U.S.
