EyeLock Debuts First In-Vehicle Eye-Based Authentication System

Jan. 13, 2015—EyeLock Inc., a marketer of iris-based identity authentication solutions, announced Tuesday that it will showcase its EyeLock ID technology integrated in a 3-D printed automobile at the 2015 North American International Auto Show this week at the Cobo Center in Detroit.

EyeLock's iris identity authentication technology is being used to validate the driver and authorize the start of the vehicle.

EyeLock's technology provides a level of convenience and security with biometric accuracy, making it a proven way to authenticate one’s identity aside from DNA. EyeLock developed and brought to market a proprietary iris authentication technology that looks at more than 240 points in each eye, and is one of the only companies in the world to utilize dual-eye authentication.

EyeLock's technology integrates into existing automotive architectures provide access to the vehicle with individual user certainty as well as a fully personalized driving experience. EyeLock's iris authentication technology creates an opportunity to start a vehicle, customize driving settings, entertainment, telematics and other in-vehicle experiences.
