Nov. 13, 2013—Power Solutions International (PSI) released its new Heavy-Duty engine lineup this week at the 2013 POWER-GEN International Trade Show in Orlando, Fla.
Power Solutions’s Perkins 4000 Series high-horsepower engines and other additional engines will also be featured at the show.
"We are excited to present an expanded engine lineup that now ranges from .97-liters up to 61-liters," said Jeremy Lessaris, director of marketing at PSI. "We look forward to new growth opportunities as we meet the demand for natural gas driven power generation."
Lessaris noted that the new high-horsepower engine display is the result of PSI's subsidiary, Power Great Lakes, recently being appointed a "4000 Series Gas Center of Excellence" by Perkins Engines. This appointment provides Power Great Lakes the rights to sell, customize, install and support the Perkins 4000 Series high-horsepower gas engines in North America.
The next generation of PSI's Heavy-Duty engine line incorporates a wide range of enhancements for prime and continuous power, including advanced controls, brushless alternators, dual fuel auto switch-over and serpentine, and self-tensioning belts. The 11.1-liter engine is equipped with enhancements for oil and gas applications, including a UL Class 1 Division 2 safe ignition system and an advanced controls system optimized for changes in fuel.
PSI will present its heavy-duty and industrial engines in booth No. 1912 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
