Tesla Pursues Repair and Service Hub in California

Aug. 26, 2013

Aug. 26, 2013—Tesla Motors, the Paolo Alto-based producer of high-end electric cars, wants to open a repair and service center in Rocklin, Calif., according to a report in The Sacramento Bee.

The proposed site, near the Sierra College Boulevard exit off Interstate 80, was once a Kia dealership operated by the local Lasher Auto Group.

Tesla’s plan to operate the 15,000-square-foot space was submitted to the city and could be ready to open a few weeks after approval since the building is already set up for automotive repair.

A Telsa spokesman declined to comment, according to The Bee's report.
