Feb. 21, 2019—A new auto repair shop has opened in Kenai, Ala., according to the Peninsula Clarion. Local Maxie's Auto and Truck Repair, owned by Kris Maxie, celebrated a grand opening to the public on Feb. 1, the publication reports.

“My heart is in fixing cars and talking to my customers,” Maxie said to the Peninsula Clarion

According to the publication, Maxie runs the business alongside his son, Kameron, and a fellow mechanic, Tim. Maxie told the Peninsula Clarion that he got his son involved to set him up with a good career.

His business goal is to get customers in and out of the shop, the Peninsula Clarion reports.

“Ninety percent of repairs are done same day. You drop it off in the morning, and you’re picking it up that night,”  Maxie told the Peninsula Clarion.
