Oct. 2, 2020—GB Auto Service, the sixth-largest independent tire and automotive service company in the country, has officially announced the its acquisition of Tate Boys Tire & Service, according to a press release.
The expansion, which has closely followed GB's August acquisition of 32 Arizona-based Sun Devil Auto and Sun Auto Service locations, will bring seven new shops under the GB umbrella. Tate Boys Tire & Service, which was founded in 1988 and is Oklahoma’s second-largest independent tire dealer, currently operates seven shops in northeast Oklahoma, serving customers through two locations in Bartlesville, as well as stores in Broken Arrow, Catoosa, Owasso, Skiatook, and South Tulsa.

With this acquisition, GB Auto, a portfolio company of Greenbriar Equity Group, L.P. will also expand its geographic reach with brand ownership in California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas and now Oklahoma.
