July 29, 2019—Burt Brothers, an auto repair shop in North Salt Lake, Utah, is offering complimentary car safety checks to customers to prep for summer travel.
As summer approaches, the Burt Brothers team is encouraging travelers to come in for a complimentary safety inspection to include tires, brakes, batteries, fluid levels, and front end as well as a visual check of belts and hoses.
Owner Jeremy Burt said that many car issues that occur during the summer travel season are due to preventable problems.
“It’s amazing how many of these travel accidents and breakdowns come down to very simple maintenance issues that can be addressed with a quick tune-up,” said Burt.
Burt said that tire problems are among the most common causes of summer accidents.
“If tire pressure is off, people can have blowouts that can be scary—and even deadly,” said Burt.
Burt Brothers’ safety checks ensure that air pressure and tread depth are at optimal levels. They also assess batteries and fluid levels to ward off additional risks.
“High heat can cause battery fluid to evaporate, which can shorten the life of the battery,” said Burt. “Other fluids tend to run out quicker in the heat as well.”
Burt said that a quick look at the health of the battery as well as a check of transmission fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, and engine oil can take a lot of the risk out of summer road travel.
According to Burt, many people are so overwhelmed with getting out the door for travel that they neglect car maintenance, but he said that his company makes safety checks quick and easy.
“We place a high emphasis on customer service so people can get in and out quickly with peace of mind that their car is ready for travel,” said Burt.
