Brothers Close Shop After 43 Years

July 29, 2019

Since 1976, Frank and George Sarabia have ran Sarabia’s Auto Repair and Towing in Pescadero, Calif.

July 29, 2019—Brothers Frank and George Sarabia are closing Sarabia’s Auto Repair and Towing after 43 years of business in Pescadero, Calif., reports the Half Moon Bay Review.

After running the auto repair shop since 1976, both Frank, 73, and George, 68, retired on June 30, closing down the only auto repair shop in the town.

On their last day, Frank and George invited the community to stop in, where they were greeted with homemade gifts, gift cards, and kind words.

“They had us crying. I didn’t think about that part when he said he was going to retire,” Frank’s wife, Patty, said. “I didn’t think so much about the effect it was going to have on everybody.”
