Dayco Names New CEO

He will be responsible for the global operational performance and strategic direction of Dayco.

July 15, 2019—Joel E. Wiegert has been named Dayco’s new CEO after 16 years with BorgWarner.

“After a rigorous search, the board concluded that Joel’s outstanding leadership skills, along with his strong track record of success, made him the outstanding candidate for the role,” said Dr. Stephan Kessel, chairman of the Board of Managers. “Joel has demonstrated throughout his career the ability to work in different environments around the world leading to impressive results.”

He will be responsible for the global operational performance and strategic direction of Dayco, and has also been named as a member of Dayco’s Board of Managers. 

He held several leadership roles with BorgWarner, recently as the president and general manager.

His career also includes seven years working for Dana Corporation, where he held engineering and sales positions.
