Jan. 2, 2018—The San Diego International Auto Show just wrapped up a five-day run, and, as it turns out, electric vehicles were the event’s main talking point.

According to San Diego Gas and Electric, nearly 22,000 EVs frequent that metropolitan area’s roadways, making it one of the highest per-capita EV markets.

The Chevrolet Bolt and Volt, Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, Kia Soul EV, Nissan Leaf, and Optima Hybrid were also among the vehicles to appear at the San Diego auto show, according to kpbs.org.

Overall, over 400 vehicles from 30 OEMs were showcased in San Diego.

Some of those were vehicles being unveiled to the public for one of the first times, such as the 2018 Jeep Wrangler SUV, the 2018 Nissan Kicks compact, the 2019 Lincoln MKC luxury compact, and the futuristic Toyota FV2 concept car.
