March 26, 2013—Magnum Gaskets is introducing 33 new OE-quality cylinder head bolt sets in the second quarter of 2013.
The new sets will cover many of the most popular make/model/year combinations for domestic and import vehicles.
Magnum says the decision to expand the line occurred after resellers requested head bolts as an add-on sale to complement the recently introduced cylinder head gaskets and premium Magnum Gasket line.
“With the introduction of torque-to-yield head bolts in the early ‘90s, replacing head bolts with every head gasket installation became a necessity because bolts were intentionally stretched beyond the point of permanent distortion,” said Jerry Rosenquist, director of engineering, Magnum Gaskets. “We also strongly recommend that conventional head bolts be replaced on pre-1990 engines because of the corrosion, wear and re-use they have experienced in many years of service.”
