TIA Releases Training Dates

Jan. 26, 2016—The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has announced dates for its Certified Automotive Training Service (ATS) Instructor Classes for 2016.

Training dates:

  • Charlotte, N.C., March 1-4
  • Denver,  April 12-22
  • Baltimore, June 21-24
  • Denver (women’s only class), Oct. 4-6

The Certified ATS Instructor Program is a 4-day in depth classroom and hands-on class that must be successfully completed in order to return to the dealership to train technicians to prepare them for certification.

Certified ATS includes safety guidelines and step-by-step procedures for all aspects of passenger and light truck tire services including wheel installation with the proper torque and tire repair. It also includes a full day of instruction on Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS).
