April 8, 2013—The Tire Industry Association (TIA) recently announced that it’s adding an additional tour date to its 2013 Certified Automotive Training Service (ATS) Instructor Training Tour.
The additional stop will be at Milwaukee Area Technical College from July 16-19.
The Certified ATS Instructor Program is a four-day classroom and hands-on training program for industry professionals who wish to train technicians, in order to prepare them for ATS certification.
The Certified ATS program includes safety regulations and procedures for multiple aspects of passenger and light truck tire service, including wheel installation with proper torque and tire repair. The program also provides instruction on tire pressure monitoring systems, so technicians have complete knowledge of the tire service requirements on the majority of domestic and import vehicles.
