March 23, 2015—U.S. Auto Parts Network Inc., one of the largest online providers of automotive aftermarket parts and accessories, announced on Tuesday the appointment of Neil Watanabe as Chief Financial Officer effective March 23, 2015.
Watanabe has over 30 years of finance, accounting and operational experience and has served as the chief financial officer for both public and private national retail companies. Watanabe recently served as chief operating officer for national stores, a discount department store chain that operates more than 300 locations. Prior to joining National Stores, from 2006-2014, Watanabe was the executive vice president and chief financial officer for Anna's Linens, a national textiles and home goods store that operates more than 300 locations. Watanabe, a veteran financial executive, has also served as the chief financial officer for Shoe Pavilion, Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas, Sears Health and Nutrition, PetSmart, Mac Frugal Bargain Closeout, Kay Bee Toys, and Motherhood Maternity. Watanabe began his career with Montgomery Ward and Filene's Basement. He is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor of arts and obtained certification as a public accountant in Illinois.

In connection with the appointment of Watanabe as chief financial officer, Michael Yoshida, the former Interim chief financial officer, will return to his prior role as vice president and controller of U.S. Auto Parts.
