March 6, 2019—The Journal-News reports that Doug Beachy, owner of Christian Brothers Automotive in West Chester Township, Ohio, has created initiatives to give back to his customers and the community.
More recently, Beachy has raised funds for Reach Out Lakota, where customers who donate $15 dollars to the organization can receive $30 dollars off of their repair bill, The Journal-News reports.
Another movement included partnerships with local churches to give away 78 free oil changes for their guests.
“I donated the parts and my guys donated the labor and we fixed a bunch of cars,” Beachy said to The Journal-News. “If we weren’t able to fix them that day, we fixed them over the next week or so.”
The fundraising effort totaled $12,000, including $4,000 in parts and the rest in labor, The Journal-News reports.
The position with Christian Brothers Automotive has allowed Beachy to get involved and support the local community, he said to The Journal-News.
“That’s been what we’ve been doing for four years now out in Loveland and just shy of one year here in West Chester, but it drives what we do,” beachy said. “We’re in business not just to make money, but we’re in the business to bless the communities that we serve and we truly believe in serving people, and that includes getting involved and serving the community, as well.”
