Feb. 22, 2019—Consumer Reports has pulled its recommendation of the Tesla Model 3, according to a report by CNN Business. The company cited reliability issues with the car, CNN Business reports, where consumers allegedly have reported issues with loose body trim and glass defects.

"Consumers expect their cars to last and not be in the repair shop. That's why reliability is so important," Jake Fisher, senior director of automotive testing at Consumer Reports said to CNN Business

Following Consumer Reports' pull back, Tesla mentioned its overall customer satisfaction rate from Consumer Reports and claims the company has corrected issues found in the survey, CNN Business reports.

"We take feedback from our customers very seriously and quickly implement improvements any time we hear about issues," Tesla said to CNN Business in a statement. It said the survey was conducted from July through September, "so the vast majority of these issues have already been corrected through design and manufacturing improvements, and we are already seeing a significant improvement in our field data."

According to CNN Business, Tesla's stock fell 2.3 percent on Thursday, Feb. 21.
