Rivian Recalls 13K EVs

Oct. 13, 2022

The amount of vehicles included in this recall make up almost the entire total of vehicles delivered to customers by the electric vehicle maker.

Oct. 13, 2022—Electric vehicle maker Rivian has announced that it has issued a recall for around 13,000 vehicles, according to Kelley Blue Book.

This amount makes up almost every vehicle that Rivian has delivered to its customers. The recall impacts the 2022 Rivian R1T pickup, R1S SUV and EDV electric delivery van.

According to documents that Rivian filed with the National Highway Traffic Administration, a nut that connects the front upper control arm and steering knuckle may have been improperly torqued. This error could lead to noise, vibrations and harshness while driving. Rivian also noted that parts could separate in some rare instances.
