Shop management software rounds out Advance’s technological portfolio.

March 28, 2022—Advance Auto Parts and Tekmetric Shop Management Systems have entered an exclusive partnership to provide Advance Professional customers, Worldpac customers, and TechNet-affiliated repair shops access to one of the industry’s most popular software suites for shop management.

One of the leading factors to the partnership was ensuring Advance’s customers had access to shop management software that was best in class.

“It’s really important for us to look at how we differentiate and to me they were the perfect fit for us,” said Bob Cushing, Advance’s executive vice president, Professional. “Our customers spoke highly of Sunil and Tekmetric. We ourselves battle tested it. It’s an exciting opportunity to show what we can do for our customers.”

Tekmetric, designed by a former shop owner, provides a cloud-based platform that allows users to develop real-time workflows in the shop that make running the shop easier, as well as managing customers. One of its latest integrations is the software’s ability to send direct SMS messages with clients.

“It’s truly a privilege to be part of the Advance Worldpac umbrella now. We’re glad to be part of the experience for all of the Advance shops using Advance and Worldpac parts ordering solutions,” said Sunil Patel, co-founder and co-CEO, Tekmetric. “We’re proud to be part of that integration now and to truly provide some revolutionary technology.”

Tekmetric joins one of Advance's most recent partners, Mechanic Advisor, a leading customer relationship management (CRM) platform designed to help auto shops address marketing needs.

“We’re excited to partner with these two to focus on improving the customer journey, the customer experience, and giving [shops] new tools and new ways to think about their businesses,” said Parker Swift, CEO, Mechanic Advisor.

Tekmetric rounds out Advance’s professional technology offerings, which include Carquest Technical Institute and Worldpac Training Institute (CTI+WTI), MotoLogic, MotoVisuals, MotoWeb, and Mechanic Advisor.
