Disgruntled Customer Set Auto Shop On Fire

March 16, 2021
The owner believes a customer who refused to pay for his car's repairs earlier in the day is responsible for the crime.

March 16, 2021—A disgruntled customer of Frank’s Auto Center, located in Detroit, Mich., allegedly attempted to burn down the shop following a disagreement in pay, WDIV reports

Security video shows a person pouring gasoline around the exterior of the shop and a second person handing him a piece of paper on fire.

“We had a customer come in. He wasn’t happy about the price. We gave him a price up front, fixed his car. He comes picks up his car. He said that’s not the price we gave him. He said he already paid us but he didn’t pay us,” owner Frak Hachem told the station.

A customer noticed the fire and called 911. The damage appears to be minor. There has been no word on any arrests.
