Repair Shop Raises $2K For Cancer Patients

The Nebraska shop donated proceeds from a wiper blade promotion to help those undergoing treatment.

Jan. 8, 2021—Kearney Tire & Auto Service in Kearney, Neb. worked to raise nearly $2,000 to help those in central Nebraska fighting cancer, reports The Grand Island Independent.

Funds were raised through the shop's fifth annual “Wipe Out Cancer” campaign. A portion of the shop's wiper blade sales throughout the entire last year and 100 percent of the shop's Wipe Out Cancer pink wiper blade sales in the month of October were donated through the campaign. 

Proceeds were donated to Kearney Tackles Cancer, a local organization that helps those struggling financially while fighting cancer through assistance with the purchase of medication, travel, food and other day to day expenses.

Through the course of the its five-year campaign, the shop has donated more than $10,000 to the organization.
