Tesla Narrowly Misses Sales Goal

Jan. 5, 2021
The numbers are in for Tesla's record fourth quarter.

Jan. 4, 2021—Tesla hoped to make and sell 500,000 vehicles in the year 2020, but in order to do that, the automaker needed a record fourth quarter.

According to Electrek, in Tesla's fourth quarter, the automaker produced 179,757 vehicles and delivered 180,570 vehicles, smashing its previous record by 40,000 cars.

Ultimately, the automaker fell short of its goal by less than 500 vehicles, but Elon has still declared victory.
