Jan. 31, 2023 – The Automotive Aftermarket Scholarship Central website, AutomotiveScholarships.com, will be offering scholarships from Mitchell 1 and Federated Auto Parts, according to a couple of recent press releases.
Mitchell 1 is accepting applications for their Automotive Technology Scholarship. The scholarship is for $2,500, and also comes with a check for $500 as well as an all-expenses-paid trip for two to the North American Council of Automotive Teachers conference, July 10-13 in Houston, Texas.
Senior marketing director for Mitchell 1, Nick DiVerde, said he hopes the scholarship may provide someone with “a fulfilling career servicing or supplying parts for vehicle maintenance and repair.”
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must have a nomination from their NACAT instructor, a GPA of at least 3.0, U.S. or Canadian citizenship, and plans to attend an accredited university, if not already currently.
Federated Auto Parts is also accepting applications for multiple scholarships for the 2023-24 school year, as part of their Federated Car Care Scholarship program.
The scholarships have been funded by Fisher Auto Parts in memory to the founder of Federated Auto Parts and the Federated Car Care program, Art Fisher.
The scholarships will be awarded to current employees of Federated Car Care Centers, or their children, that will be “attending a two- or four-year accredited college, an ASE/NATEF certified post-secondary automotive, heavy-duty or collision technician training program or any licensed and accredited vocational school.” Those planning to enroll in such programs in the future may also apply.
The deadline for scholarship applications will be March 31.
