Ford to Build $3.5B EV Battery Plant in Michigan

The Detroit automaker continues to aggressively roll out its EV plan. 

Feb. 13, 2023—Ford announced it has chosen Michigan as the site for its $3.5 billion electric vehicle battery plant. The Detroit-based automaker looks to create 2,500 jobs and produce 2 million EV batteries by the end of 2026.  

According to a report by a Toledo, Ohio, NBC affiliate, This push comes as the Biden Administration puts pressure on Congress for legislation to incentivize consumers and companies to build and purchase American-made EVs
