What Would Danny Do? partners with A&D Auto Repair to honor the life of founder's son

A Michigan family is collaborating with a local auto repair shop to honor the life of their late son.

Dorrie Bath, the mother of 19-year-old Danny Bath who died tragically in a car accident in 2021, is the founder of What Would Danny Do? and creator of the Danny Bath Legacy Awards.

Inspired by her late son, who was studying to become and EMT and who had a love for repairing cars, Bath and A & D Auto Repair are coming together to give away a car to a deserving family on October 12, Danny’s birthday.

“As a parent, you always want to give something to your kids on their birthday. So now this is, as a mom, it’s my way and my husband’s way of giving something to Danny. Which is a vehicle to a deserving family,” Bath told WLNS 6 News.

“To support Dorrie and her family, and Dave, their family and their foundation, that meant the world to us,” said Roy Niemi, COO of A&D Auto Repair.

The A&D Auto Repair knew Danny personally.

“He would stop in occasionally, just, cars were here and he would talk about them. I even caught him in the shop one day, asking for advice from a technician,” said Eric Goodnoe, CEO of A&D.
