Tekmetric, an auto repair platform used by more than 11,000 shops nationwide, today announced the launch of Tekmetric Marketing, a new add-on solution that enables shop owners to engage and keep customers coming back automatically from the same system they already use to run their business.

Built directly inside Tekmetric, the solution combines online booking, automated reminders, campaigns, post-visit follow-ups and reviews—eliminating the need for multiple logins or third-party tools. Shop owners can engage customers before, during, and after every visit to drive repeat business, increase retention and boost average repair order (ARO).

Digital Convenience Now Table Stakes for Consumers A new survey of 1,147 car owners, commissioned by Tekmetric and conducted online in the U.S. by Ipsos, underscores the challenges and opportunities for independent repair shops:

  • Large pool of potential repeat customers: 85% of car owners plan to repair rather than replace their vehicle in the next year if faced with a major repair.
  • Follow-up gap creates missed opportunities: Over two-thirds have either had a repair shop recommend repairs or maintenance but never follow up (38%), or they don’t recall whether or not they received a follow-up (32%), despite 73% saying automated maintenance reminders would be valuable.
  • Digital convenience matters most to younger car owners: 75% of car owners say search engine reviews and a professional website are critical in choosing a shop (with 18- to 34-year-olds being more likely to say this than those age 35+), and 73% would likely use online booking if their preferred shop offered it (82% among those age 18-34).

“Auto repair shops have a tremendous opportunity to win over today’s digital-first customers,” said Sunil Patel, founder and CEO of Tekmetric. “Tekmetric Marketing makes it simple for shops to engage customers and drive real results without requiring a marketing degree to operate. It goes beyond convenience to help owners build relationships that last, turning every visit into the next one and fueling long-term growth. It’s the next step in our vision to create a true all-in-one auto repair platform for single- and multi-shop owners.”

Early Adopters Seeing Results

Early adopters report stronger customer engagement and operational efficiency:

“We’ve been at full capacity for more than two months, with dealership-level volume,” said Ryan Froats, owner of Yorktown Tire Auto Care. “Tekmetric Marketing makes it easy for customers to find us online, read our reviews and book an appointment. From an operational standpoint, having everything on one platform streamlines my workflow and allows me to spend more time with my customers.”

How Tekmetric Marketing Delivers Value

Every feature ladders up to one of these three core use cases:

  • Proactively market the shop: Fill bays, increase average repair order (ARO) and re-engage customers automatically with online booking, automated reminders and follow-ups, campaigns, websites and reviews.
  • Centralize all communications: Send texts, reminders, promotions and review requests all through Tekmetric so shops never miss a customer touchpoint.
  • Keep the shop and marketing in sync: Manage bookings, check-ins and follow-ups from one calendar tied directly to repair orders and payments—one login, one phone number, zero sync issues.
