The North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT) will be celebrating its 50th anniversary at the upcoming NACAT Conference & Expo in July.

Taking place in Indianapolis, Indiana, the event will be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Plainfield Indianapolis Airport from July 22 to 25, according to a press release.

Attendees will gain insight into strategies for communicating with students, opportunities to incorporate hands-on learning into their classrooms, working with emerging tech, and troubleshooting techniques through interactive workshops, live demonstrations, and collaborative sessions.

The agenda includes training sessions, continental breakfast for those staying at Embassy Suites, lunch Monday through Thursday, refreshment breaks, a first-time attendee meeting, a welcome reception, and a family BBQ with valve cover races.

Kicking off with an opening general session, automotive education expert Dave Macholz will present a keynote session titled “Embracing Technological Change in Automotive Education,” followed by the welcome reception later that day at the Don Schumacher Racing facility, where participants will embark on a tour of the Precision Manufacturing area.

For instructors interested in attending, NACAT provides a 'letter to school administrators' template to submit to school administrators for approval.

Early bird pricing is available until May 15, amounting to $550 for NACAT members and $650 for non-members. After May 15, NACAT members will pay $625 for attendance, and non-members will pay $725. Attendees are also eligible to earn up to 22 educational hours by participating in workshops and seminars.
