Midas, Advance Auto Parts Support New York Army Veteran with Vehicle Donation

Midas, in collaboration with Advance Auto Parts, donated a refurbished 2003 GMC Envoy to Army veteran and mother of three, Diana Izquierdo, helping her overcome transportation challenges amid personal hardships.

Midas’ most recent Project Spark donation benefited an Army veteran and mother of three in Schenectady, New York, as shared in a press release.

Diana Izquierdo is a 35-year-old U.S. Army Specialist (SPC), and a mother to three children. She and her family have faced immense hardships, including job loss, vehicle repossession, and the threat of foreclosure after Izquierdo escaped an abusive relationship and sought a fresh start.

With her fiancé deployed, Izquierdo has been struggling to provide basic transportation for her children and attend military duties. After hearing her story, Harry Felton, Regional Manager for Midas in the Albany/Schenectady area, was motivated to help along with his team.

Partnering with Advance Auto Parts, the Schenectady Midas refurbished a 2003 GMC Envoy that was gifted to Izquierdo on July 17 at the store.
