Women in Auto Care has achieved another record-breaking year for its scholarship program, awarding $448,745 in scholarships and tool kits in 2025, as shared in a recent press release.

This marks the sixth consecutive record-breaking year for the program, which first began in 2004 with a $2,000 scholarship. Since then, the program has awarded nearly $2.5 million in cash scholarships and tool kits to young women pursuing careers in the automotive aftermarket.

This year’s program had 55 sponsors, with WiAC highlighting the following as major partners and contributions:

  • Garage Gurus; $35,000 annually for the last six years;
  • NAPA Carlyle Tools; anchoring the Tool Kit program for the last five years;
  • Dorman; $10,000 annual contribution;
  • Synchrony Car Care; new partner in 2025 with a $25,000 contribution; and
  • Repair Pal; new partner in 2025 celebrating 4000 repair shops with a $4,000 contribution.

WiAC said that it’s seen an uptick of support from tool and chemical manufacturers over the past five years, and recognized the following manufacturers and suppliers for their tool kit contributions: ATD Tools Inc.; Autel, BH Sens; Big Time Products, Bosch, Carlyle Tools, Clore, CRC, DHC, Dorman, EZ Red, FedPro Inc., FJC, Great Neck Saw, John Dow Industries, LDS Industries, Lincoln, Lisle, Lucas Oil, Mahle, Mechanix Wear, Milwaukee, Niterra, Omega USA, PB Blaster, Power Probe, Stanley Black & Decker DeWalt, Sunex, TOPDON.

In addition to scholarships and tool kits, all 82 scholarship recipients received an industry swag box filled with aftermarket goodies and a personalized card thanking them for joining the automotive aftermarket industry.

“Carlyle Tools is extremely proud to partner with the Women in Auto Care,” said Joe Saba, senior product manager for NAPA. “As the private label professional tool and equipment brand of NAPA AUTO PARTS, we share in the Auto Care Associations’ mission to advocate for the automotive aftermarket including its manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, shop owners and most importantly its technicians. We would like to thank the Women in Auto Care for allowing us to be part of this program, and we’d very much like to congratulate each of the scholarship recipients and wish them the best of luck in their future careers in our automotive industry.”
