VIP Tires & Service Expands Footprint with Acquisition of Lyons Auto Service

VIP Tires & Service has acquired Lyons Auto Service in West Hartford, Connecticut, as announced in a recent press release.

On Feb. 2, the store opened to the public as Lyons Auto Service by VIP. With the launch of the store, VIP’s footprint has grown to 77 locations throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

The facility, located at 1056 New Britain Ave., currently has two buildings for automotive service. Renovations will include new automotive, tire and alignment equipment. New lifts will also be installed this winter, and major facility renovations are coming this spring.

The store currently has eight employees, including several State of Connecticut Emissions Inspectors onsite, with plans to hire more employees in the future. VIP intends to have all of their stores staffed with Automotive Service Excellence and Tire Industry Association certified automotive professionals, offering education and certification opportunities to all employees.
