Akebono Expands Brake Pad Coverage

Akebono Brake Corporation announced six new premium brake pad part numbers, enhancing coverage for European luxury, electric, and heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks and commercial vans.

Akebono Brake Corporation announced the release of six new premium brake pad part numbers, expanding coverage across EURO and Severe Duty product lines.

The latest additions include four EURO Ultra-Premium Ceramic Brake Pad part numbers and two Severe Duty brake pad part numbers, providing technicians, distributors, and retailers with expanded coverage for a broad range of European luxury vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, commercial vans, and electric vehicle applications. The new EURO part numbers include:

  • EUR1801B – MINI Cooper and Cooper Clubman applications
  • EUR1838B – Jaguar E-Pace, F-Pace, XE, XF, and Land Rover applications
  • EUR1850C – BMW 5 Series, 7 Series, 8 Series, X3, X4, X5, X6, X7, iX and additional luxury vehicle applications
  • EUR2060 – BMW 3 Series, 4 Series, 5 Series, X5, X6, and i4 applications

The new Severe Duty part numbers include:

  • SDF2250A – Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD, Hummer EV Pickup, and Hummer EV SUV applications
  • SDF2280B – Ford Transit 150, 250, 350, and 350 HD applications

Combined, these six new part numbers add coverage for more than 8.6 million vehicles in operation across North America, further strengthening Akebono's commitment to delivering premium braking solutions for today's evolving vehicles.
